The Sony PXW-FX9 is a full-frame E-mount camcorder designed for professional filmmakers, building on the strengths of Sony’s latest cinema line, including the FX3 and FX6. With its advanced imaging capabilities, the FX9 complements the Sony FX series by offering enhanced versatility, robust build quality, and superior image performance.

At the heart of the FX9 is a 6K Full-Frame Exmor R sensor, delivering exceptional image quality, shallow depth of field, and a cinematic wide-angle field of view. The sensor offers over 15 stops of dynamic range and features dual base ISO (800/4000), making it well-suited to both controlled lighting environments and low-light conditions.

The FX9 supports 6K oversampling for recording in DCI 4K, UHD, and HD, with a Super 35 crop mode available for compatibility with S35mm lenses and workflows. It also includes Sony’s Electronic Variable ND filter for seamless, step-less exposure control without affecting your aperture or depth of field.
