The FX6 sits at the centre of Sony’s 4K Cinema Line, offering a more comprehensive feature set than the FX3, while retaining a smaller, more mobile form factor than the Sony FX9. Its compact size and functionality make it an excellent choice for lightweight, handheld ‘run and gun’ setups, as well as a full-frame 4K option for gimbal use or as a B-camera.

With a native E-mount, the FX6 can be used directly with Sony lenses, and—with the addition of a mount adapter—is compatible with a wide range of other lens systems, including PL and Canon EF.

The camera includes a suite of professional features, such as a built-in Electronic Variable ND filter, advanced autofocus, over 15 stops of dynamic range, and expanded ISO up to 409600 for extreme low-light performance. It supports both Full Frame 35mm and Super 35 recording in 10-bit 4:2:2, with high frame rate capture available at up to 120fps in 4K.
