Historically, full-frame PL-mount anamorphic glass has been restricted to high-tier budget brackets. The Arcana set breaks this convention, bringing genuine widescreen aesthetics, solid build quality, and a fast T2.1 aperture to a much wider range of independent features, promos, and commercial projects without sacrificing professional standards.

Optically, these lenses utilize a 1.5x hybrid squeeze design specifically engineered to render the elongated, “waterfall” oval bokeh traditionally associated with a 2x squeeze. They deliver a striking yet controlled look with neutral, color-shifting horizontal flares that adapt organically to your light sources. Crucially, DZOFilm’s front-cylindrical design ensures a consistent squeeze ratio from close focus—starting at just 0.48m on the 32mm—through to infinity, effectively mitigating the anamorphic “mumps” effect (facial widening) and keeping post-production geometry correction to a minimum.

For camera assistants and operators, the Arcana set is built entirely around on-set efficiency. The trio of 32mm, 45mm, and 75mm covers the most essential and widely used focal lengths for anamorphic cinematography, providing a highly practical toolkit for the majority of setups. Furthermore, each lens features identical dimensions, sharing an 80mm front diameter, standard 77mm internal filter threads, and a remarkably short 80mm physical length with matched 0.8 MOD gear rings. Combined with an ultra-lightweight form factor of approximately 700g per lens, lens changes take seconds, and the need to re-balance gimbals, Steadicams, or handheld rigs is virtually eliminated.
