Our PYXIS 12K kits are supplied in native L-mount, providing full access to the latest full-frame lens options. For added versatility, we also include a robust L-to-PL adapter, allowing easy integration with professional PL-mount cine lenses. This flexibility makes the PYXIS 12K equally suited to large-format glass, lightweight run-and-gun setups or precision-controlled studio rigs.
The camera’s modular “box” design lends itself naturally to a wide range of configurations. Whether mounted on a gimbal, drone or traditional camera support, the PYXIS 12K offers multiple threaded mounting points and accessory interfaces to simplify rigging. Its compact footprint and well-balanced chassis make it practical for handheld operation while still supporting professional connectivity, including full-size XLR audio, timecode and 12G-SDI outputs.
Recording to dual CFexpress Type B media, the PYXIS 12K enables efficient, high-data-rate workflows with the option of generating proxy files simultaneously for fast editorial turnover. Capture formats include 12K, 8K, 6K and 4K at a range of aspect ratios and frame rates – with up to 60 fps at 12K (2.4:1) and higher speeds available in windowed modes. This scalability gives cinematographers the creative freedom to oversample for post, crop for delivery, or downscale for pristine 8K and 4K masters.
