The Aputure Storm 80c is a compact, full-colour RGBWW COB lighting fixture that combines portability with professional-grade performance. Drawing just 80 watts of power, it delivers impressive output – approximately 19,850 lux at 1 metre when used with its included mini hyper reflector – making it ideal for interviews, beauty setups, or creative lighting in tight or mobile production environments.

Despite its small size, the Storm 80c is fully weatherproof to IP65 standards, with an all-metal housing built to withstand demanding on-location conditions. At just 1kg in weight (excluding yoke), it’s incredibly portable and can be mounted on lightweight stands or boom arms for fast-moving or minimal crew setups.

The light features Aputure’s new BLAIR-CG colour engine, providing expanded colour rendering with added cyan, green and indigo emitters. It offers a wide CCT range from 1,800K to 20,000K with full ± green-magenta control, and delivers exceptional colour accuracy – with CRI and TLCI ratings of 97+ and SSI scores of 88 (3200K) and 84 (5600K). The unit supports multiple control methods, including onboard menu navigation, Sidus Link app integration, LumenRadio CRMX, and full 16-bit DMX/RDM compatibility. It also features 15 built-in lighting effects and four dimming curves.

One of the standout features of the Storm 80c is its flexible power options. It can be run from standard AC mains power, USB-C 100W PD (via power bank or wall adapter), or via V-mount batteries using an optional D-Tap cable and bracket – making it an excellent choice for location shoots where access to mains power is limited.

The fixture uses Aputure’s Mini ProLock Mount – a secure, locking accessory system compatible with the included hyper reflector, mini lantern, and optional modifiers like the CF4 Fresnel or Light Dome 40. A Bowens adapter is also available, allowing compatibility with standard Aputure and third-party light-shaping tools.
