The Aputure Storm 1200x is a high-output bi-colour LED point source built for film and television production.

Drawing approximately 1200W, the Storm 1200x delivers substantial punch across a wide CCT range of roughly 2,500K to 10,000K, with full green-magenta adjustment. For productions working across mixed lighting environments, this flexibility removes the need for lamp changes or corrective gels and allows rapid colour matching on set.

With its reflector fitted, the output places the 1200x firmly in the territory traditionally occupied by larger HMI units, while retaining the advantages of LED technology – instant on, precision dimming and lower power demands relative to discharge fixtures.

The fixture supports stepless dimming from 0.1% to 100%, maintaining consistent colour performance throughout the range. This makes it particularly suitable for controlled drama environments, multi-camera studio setups and live broadcast where predictable exposure control is essential.

The ProLock Bowens mount provides a secure platform for reflectors, Fresnel attachments, softboxes and spacelight configurations, allowing the fixture to function as a hard key, simulated daylight source, punch through diffusion or large soft source as required.

The Storm 1200x is IP65 rated, making it suitable for exterior location work and event environments where weather resistance is important. Control options include onboard interface, wired DMX/RDM, wireless Sidus Link, CRMX, Art-Net and sACN, allowing straightforward integration into lighting desks, location DMX networks and app-based control setups.

The unit is supplied as a production-ready kit with head, control box, cabling and standard reflector in a portable rolling case.
