Nikon enjoyed near legendary status during the 1970s and 1980s amongst professional photographers and photojournalists as the leading, and probably the most acclaimed manufacturer of SLR system cameras (sorry Canon fans!). Think Dennis Hopper in Apocalypse Now and you’ll understand how Nikon really was the camera that defined the era.

Their SLR camera range was complemented by Nikon F mount lenses, which were acclaimed for their high quality, optical characteristics, as well as for the wide range of focal lengths offered. They are noted for excellent contrast, vivid colour rendition and subtle yet distinctive bokeh when shot with wide open.

Rehoused by Zerø Optik, vintage Nikon Nikkor series lenses are now available for modern day cinematography application. Presented as an 8-way set, each lens features a PL mount and a compact yet highly functional housing, designed for precise and repeatable focus and iris control.
